About Us
The Castagna Dulcis B&B is a careful and sustainable renovation of a 17th century farmhouse. Guests have 2 double bedrooms and a family suite, unique, elegant rooms, decorated with traditional local materials.
The environmental context is very suggestive. the garden is a natural balcony overlooking the Val di Paglia dominated by the Rocca di Radicofani.
The breakfast is served on the veranda.
The B&B is the ideal starting point for discovering Monte Amiata and Val D’Orcia

Pera Picciola
This room, which takes its name from an ancient fruit, typical of Monte Amiata, will immerse you in an atmosphere of other times. The owners have personally created the mirror and the wardrobe by recovering old chestnut boards. The ceiling is characterized by skilfully restored exposed beams, the floor is in oak. The room tones are warm and welcoming. Another noteworthy feature is the fireplace in front of which it will be pleasant to watch the wood crackle, relax tasting a glass of wine or read a book. All these features make Pera Picciola the ideal room for all those couples looking for a romantic stay in nature.
Glicine
The roof is characterized by skilfully restored exposed beams. the floor is in oak. the tones of the rooms are clear, fresh and relaxing
This room takes its name from the plant that “whispers” the spring, reaching flowering before all the other plants in the large garden surrounding the B&B. The owners have personally created the bedside tables by recovering the old materials that were present in the structure. Another noteworthy feature is the en-suite bathroom featuring a natural stone sink and double shower.
Uva Fragola
The suite Uva Fragola is the ideal accommodation for families or groups of friends, as it can accommodate up to 5 people
This suite takes its name from the vine that grows along the façade of the B&B, dropping its branches on the old oven skilfully recovered by the owners.
The room is located on the first floor with access from the garden via ancient stone steps. The entrance opens onto a large living room with a fireplace in front of which it will be pleasant to end your days. The windows of the sitting room overlook the beautiful view of the Val di Paglia furrowed by the traditional gullies. All the ceilings have skilfully restored exposed beams, the floor is in oak.
The suite has two double bedrooms, Uva Fragola 1 with double bed and en-suite fireplace and Uva Fragola 2, the largest of the B&B, where in addition to the double bed there is also a sofa bed. The colors of the living room and bedrooms, as well as all the decorative elements, have been carefully studied to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
